About the Department
The research focuses on the development of renewable materials, particularly innovative wood modification methods. The REED design approach combines natural materials, ergonomics, and sustainability principles to promote health. The department participates in numerous European research projects, publishes scientific results, develops innovations, and contributes to the New European Bauhaus and NEB Academy initiatives. An important part of its activities also includes training, international collaboration, and science communication.
