For 2025, three positions for young researchers are available, with two positions open at UP IAM and UP FAMNIT.
Candidates can apply for training under the following mentors, in the respective research fields and within the framework of the institution’s research programmes.
- Prof. Dr. Bojan Kuzma – research field Mathematics, research programme P1-0285 Algebra, diskretna matematika, verjetnostni račun in teorija iger (UP IAM / UP FAMNIT),
- Prof. Dr. Ademir Hujdurović – research field Mathematics, research programme P1-0404: Matematično modeliranje in enkripcija: od teoretičnih konceptov do vsakodnevnih aplikacij (UP IAM / UP FAMNIT).
Candidates must have completed a second-level degree study programme within the last four years and have an average grade of at least 8 in all final assessments (including all exams, coursework, and the Master’s thesis).
Only one candidate can be selected per mentor. The candidate will be offered a full-time contract for up to four years. If multiple candidates apply, they will be ranked based on their total score. The candidate with the highest score will be selected. In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the candidate from the underrepresented gender in that specific research field at UP (if gender imbalance exceeds 60%/40% in favor of one gender).
