(SI) Pričujoči predlog za bilateralni projekt je namenjen podpori tekočemu delu PI, Johna Shareshiana in drugih matematikov iz ZDA, med njimi tudi Boba Guralnicka. Delo obsega in povezuje področja kombinatorike, teorije grup in teorije števil. Simetrija je pomembna tako povsod v matematiki kot tudi širše v znanosti. Grupa je matematična abstrakcija simetrije objekta. V seriji člankov sta PI in Shareshian študirala delno urejene množice vseh odsekov vseh podgrup v končnih grupah.
(EN) This proposal for a bilateral project is intended to support the ongoing work of PI, John Shareshian and other US mathematicians, including Bob Guralnick. The work encompasses and integrates the fields of combinatorics, group theory, and number theory. Symmetry is important both everywhere in mathematics and in science more broadly. A group is a mathematical abstraction of the symmetry of an object. In a series of papers, PI and Shareshian studied partially ordered sets of all segments of all subgroups in finite groups.
